On March 26, Chen Liyang, Vice President of Xinyuan Group and General Manager of Xinchuang Science and Technology, met with Mr. Matthew Bullock, Dean of St. Edmond College, Cambridge University, in Beijing, and was invited to attend a keynote speech and alumni exchange event on "Cambridge Phenomenon: Entrepreneurship and Its Impact on the World" held in COYARD Financial Space. The event was hosted by Zou Yun, an alumnus of Cambridge University and a famous host of CGTN. More than 50 people participated in the event, including Wang Lei, general manager of Xinchuang Technological Innovation Center in London, Dr. Xu Guangrui, deputy dean of Industrial Research Institute, Dr. Meng Dejian, assistant dean, and Cambridge alumni in Beijing.

Chen Liyang said that Cambridge University is a school with a long history and one of the best universities in the world. Many academic masters, advanced ideas and top technology originated from it. President Matthew Bullock is a respected scholar and a practitioner in the field of Finance and urban planning. Xinyuan Group is China's first real estate development enterprise landing on the New York Stock Exchange of the United States. In his keynote speech, Mr. Bullock talked about the development of innovation and entrepreneurship in Cambridge University, revealing the mystery of how the spirit of innovation and motivation of entrepreneurship have grown and multiplied in Cambridge University for hundreds of years. Mr. Bullock said that the continuous progress of urbanization in China urgently needed to be integrated with effective technology and mechanisms. Xinchuang Technology is a dynamic company, which is exploring the integration of technology and city. Founded in 1896, St Edmund College is one of the most international colleges in Cambridge, attracting nearly 1,000 top talent from all over the world, with students from more than 85 countries. St. Edmund college offers a comprehensive range of disciplines from the humanities, social sciences and natural sciences to medicine and veterinary medicine. The college was named after st. Edmund (1175-1240), who was the first famous master of arts and archbishop of Cambridge from 1234 to 1240. The college was granted a royal charter in 1998.

Mr. Bullock is a founding member of the advisory board of the university of Cambridge's school of law and business. He served as chairman of the advisory board of the university of Cambridge's centre for business research (CBR) and non-executive director and chairman of Addenbrooke's audit and business development committee at the university hospital NHS foundation trust (Addenbrooke's). Bullock has also been a strong financial and construction executive, serving as senior executive officer of barclays PLC, group chief executive officer of Norwich & peterborough building society and chairman of the British building society.
